We are the only Optometry practice in Laurieton and have serviced the community since 1991. We provide old fashioned service for patients of all ages. Our newly established vision therapy program continues to grow in popularity.
Chris Baker – Optometrist BOptom (UNSW)
Chris is a semi-retired ex-partner of Baker Payne Webb and currently consults 2 days a week. He has lived in the Hastings region for decades and enjoys golf on his days off.
Heath Morgan – Optometrist BOptom (UNSW)
Heath has been an Optometrist with Baker Payne Webb for the past two years. Originally from Port Macquarie he is a graduate of UNSW and currently undertaking further studies in Ocular Therapeutics and Behavioural Optometry. He has a keen interest in visual training and learning difficulty patients.
Natasha Barnard-French – Behavioural Optometrist BOptom (UNSW) MSc (Optom) FACBO
Natasha completed her optometry degree with honours in 1993 and went on to complete a research masters in vision development and learning in 1995. This interest in childrens’ vision led to a fellowship in Behavioural Optometry in 2003 and working in specialty behavioural practices in Perth for 10 years.
With parents living in Laurieton and two young girls enjoying all the area has to offer she has happily settled back on the east coast and is keen to continue providing specialty behavioural vision care to adults and children alike.
Karen Brown – Vision Therapist
Moved to the Camden Haven area from Brisbane 3 years ago with my daughter.
I’m currently completing my accreditation as a Vision Therapist with the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometry. I have been a Vision Therapist at Baker Payne & Webb for just over a year now helping individuals to achieve their full potential in school, work and play through ‘in office’ interactive Vision Therapy. The positive feedback from the parents, kids & community has been amazing! I have also studied AUSLAN sign language for 3 years and hope to, maybe one day, put that to good use with the training.
Kerri Moore – Optical Dispenser
My career in the optical industry began in November 1994 as the receptionist for the Laurieton office of Baker Payne Webb when it first opened. I then completed the Optical Dispensing Course in December 1998.
The practice has grown from 2 days of optometrists to 5 fulltime days and the patient demographic has changed from mainly aged to a younger consumer base.
The area has probably doubled in population since we first moved here in 1991 but it still retains its small community feel which is its attraction.
Kerrie Gray – Receptionist
Kerrie has been a casual receptionist at Laurieton for 4 years. She moved from Sydney to the Camden Haven 8 years ago and has two young children. Coming from a legal background she enjoys the more personal contact with clients and is pleased to see the same clients return regularly. It is great to see an extensive range of frames and lenses available in a local business that also provides fantastic service.
Allyson Martin – Receptionist.
Allyson has been a casual receptionist with Baker Payne and Webb for the past 12 years and has lived locally in the Camden Haven area for 26 years. She enjoys the contact she has with the general public and providing a service where we can help people with their day to day eyecare. It is always exciting to view the new frame stock and see the new trends and modern looks for all our eyewear and know we can offer a great product to our clients.
